Today, I changed 2 of our computers (plan on doing them all) and now I am the administrator on those computers, I want to grant access to ALL documents, music, videos, etc. files that already exist on their PC's.
I really just want to block internet porn and the likes.
I installed Windows 7 Family Safety, but I don't want to keep them from their files.
Can I still be the Administrator and grant file access?

Copy or move those folders to Public folders. Every user can access them now.
Use Copy To or Move To option in your right click context menu.

if you are talking about your children, this is only possible if they aren't normal children. You can thwart the child the first time, but then they ask their friends, they go to some of their favorite sites and ask how or they google the topic.

If this is your own children, remember that you may stop them at home but not when they are away.
Best is to devote your efforts to develop their own abilities to evaluate knowledge. I have two marvelous, now adult, children. Raise them up in the way they should go and they shall not depart from it.

I was "answering" the first post. Yours (I believe is the second) and it "told" me to move or copy. I was alble to move my documents to the publich folders, however anything that is on the desktop is not accessible to everyone. My husband uses his desktop like a real desk top and keeps his files all over the desktop. Because this is the computer he uses for his business, I don't want any real limitation on the computing side of the PC, just the internet.
Here's the real situation. I am trying to find a way to limit access to the internet for my entire family. Originally I chose OpenDNS, but I have ATT Uverse and it is too complicated. The Geek Squad told me that Microsoft had a program (and it was free) that would be what I wanted, but I would need to be the administrator. Perhaps I misunderstood him. Maybe I just need to the administrator on the Windows Safe Family and not the computer itself.

You can use Parental Controls to help manage how your children use the computer. For example, you can set limits on the hours that your children can use the computer, the types of games they can play, and the programs they can run.

When Parental Controls blocks access to a game or program, a notification is displayed that the program has been blocked. Your child can click a link in the notification to request permission for access to that game or program. You can allow access by entering your account information.

Okay, I watched these videos and I had already set up most of this settings.
I think this is what my ultimate question is: Do I need to be the administrator on my husbands PC or can I just be the administrator on WLSF?
I still cannot see the desktop files as a guest or a user, but I will try again.
