    Thumbnail Cache Reset And Clear


    Hi

    My Thumbnail Cache In The Windows 7 64Bit SP1 Is Reset automatically And It Driving Me Crazy.

    What Can I Do ?

    It Started One Month Ago I Never Had This Problem !

    I Open All My Files And Everything Is Ok , After 1 Hour Everything Is Reset And I Need To Load All The Files Again !

    I Format My Computer And Install Clean Windows 7 , Load All My Files And Again It Reset automatically After One Hour.

    I Read This Tutorial

    Thumbnail Cache - Enable or Disable

    But It Wont Make Sense To Me Because I Never Had This Problem Before ...
    Please Help Me Guys

    Hello Itsik,

    Just to be sure of what you meant, when you say reset, what do you mean by that and what is it doing compared to what you believe it should be doing?

    Could you post a screenshot of what this looks like when it reset?

    Itsik,

    You might give OPTION ONE in the tutorial below a try to prevent Windows 7 from deleting the thumbnail cache and hopefully to stop this.

    Itsik,

    You might see if resetting the thumbnail cache and rebuiding the icon cache may help.

    Do you have any all-in-one tweak type programs installed that may have an option to turn off thumbnail previews that may be causing this?

    CCleaner will clear the thumbnail cache. Make sure that isn't what caused it if you use it and run it often.

    The Only Software I Install After Clean Install Of Windows 7 64 Bit SP1 Is:

    Itunes+QuickTime , Winamp , Skype , Adobe Flash Player+Adobe Reader , Java , Windows Live Mail , Steam , Kmplayer , Winrar

    Drivers : Graphic Card And Synaptics Pointing Device

    Updates: All The Update Include SP1

    Problem Solved Thanks EveryOne

    The Thumbnail Reset Because Of My Router

    I Had Problem With My Internet Connection And I Reset My Router

    And Suddenly All My Problem Disappeared

    I Dont Know How It Is Related To The Router ..

    That's great news Itsik. Thank you for posting back with your results. I'm not sure how that was related to your router either though. Strange.

    Was this on a NAS drive connected via the router?
