Desktop icon font
Does anyone know how to change the desktop icon font and color?
Does anyone know how to change the desktop icon font and color?
if u r using win 7 then go to control panel there u will find some settings or make a right click on your desktop . there r this 2 type of way.
Sure...
right click on desktop->Personalize->Windows Color->Advanced Apperance Settings->Select Icon from the List->Make your Changes!!!!
Please note that Windows 7's look and handwriting is designed around SegoeUI...you might hurt yourself more than help if you change the font
my desktop wallpaper changes every 30 mins, so i need a color that can STAND out for the icons that i haven't deleted yet. AND ohhhhhh wow they need to make windows 7 EASIER for that like with windows xp.
BUT fack i can't change the color!!!!!!! anyone else know where i can change the COLOR of the font, this white just doesn't work
ARG my problem is not solved, why and how did you do that to my post.......
anyone who knows their way around windows 7 please hook some input
i don't think you can do it from the control panel.
i think you're going to need a third-party tool. i haven't tried it myself, but it says it works in win 7, and it's free!
good luck!
or even better, try fences, they are cool, and also free - don't know how i forgot about them! they won't let you change the text colour, but they do improve legibility.

Can I ask why this post is marked SOLVED ?
There seems to be no way in the WIN7 settings to change the desktop font COLOUR, as the FONT item allows a change of FONT STYLE but the colour options are greyed out !!
Surely, with the idea being that we are supposed to be able to make OUR desktops look the way WE want, something as basic as this should be easy.

Trans Text still works. Just installed it on 32bt Seven. Have to turn off drop shadows for it to work.

I have searched high and low for a solution to the same problem. There seems to be no way to change the font color for desktop icons and the taskbar icons.
I am not willing to clutter up my computer with third party programs to do something that should be a trivial matter.
So much for a completely customizable OS . . .
Why does windows 7 have easy solutions to accessing complex programs but have difficult solutions for a simple change in color font on icons? My goodness, I have the same situation. I hope somebody can help, please.
