    Computer management shows inconsistent value

Hi, With GParted, I successfully increased the size of my partition (from 24,36GB to 34,18GB) and restored my image again.

Windows 7 is up and running again, though the amount of space left, is still identical as it was before increasing the partition.

Windows Computer management shows (graphically) the new size (now 34.18GB) where in the same screen, just above the graphical presentation, the old partition size is shown (24,36GB). The latter is also show if I use explorer. How to solve this?

What does it show in Disk Management - that's what counts.

thanks for your response, I wasn't clear enough. Disk management shows the incorrect values. Graphically 34.18GB and in the same screen, just above the graphical presentation, the old partition size is shown (24,36GB). The latter is also show if I use explorer

I suspect that this is a problem from GParted. It apparently did not register the new numbers correctly. You can try a resize with Disk Management. Shrink the partition by e.g. 1GB and then extend the partition again by that 1GB. Maybe it fixes the nums.

Excellent thinking. I did not realise that Gparted could have causes this. So I verified it via GParted, and now it is fine!! Solved!
