    Windows 7 GUID disk boot?

    Hi,

I was wondering, I have heard that windows 7 will not boot from guid disks but I remembered that Mac's can dual boot windows using 'boot camp', but macs use the guid partition map not the mbr partition map. So my question is; will windows 7 boot from a GUID if it is chain loaded or not?

    sorry for bad gramma

You may have to install a bootlader that can boot from a GPT (GRUB can do that as far as I remember) after which set your bootlader to load your desired OS.

Before attempting changes on your PC I'd try it on a virtual machine first. (VMWare for example.)
