    Please Help. i have no idea what to do


    windows recently updated my computer. after i updated my computer, 2 folders appeared in my D drive (not my local disc) that was labeled with a series of characteres. Can any please tell me what this is.

    It is probably a temporary folder created by Windows that is used as a container to store downloaded data prior to installing the updates.

    If there is nothing in it, it should be safe to delete it.

    in the folders, there's something about amd64. also, one of the folders disappeared

    That folder is created from Windows Update. I won't delete it.

    I have always deleted that folder if it is created by an update and never, ever had a problem after the deletion.

    Those folders should be remove don their own after the updates are finished installing. If not, and you can reboot, it is safe to delete them.

    In case you're in any doubt, rename the folder with an .old suffix then reboot.

    If your computer reboots then it's safe to delete the renamed folder.
