    MS Offers to Add Rival Browsers to Settle EU Probe


    So I guess the EU (E) versions were going to have no browser, but the NA versions were? I was just reading something about this earlier, and it seems things may have changed already.

    BRUSSELS—Bending to pressure from European Union antitrust regulators, Microsoft Corp. agreed to let users of Windows pick a Web browser other than its own Internet Explorer—a step that goes well beyond what U.S. authorities achieved during their pursuit of the company in the 1990s, and potentially offers a big boost to alternative browser makers including Microsoft's archrival Google Inc.

    I don't believe this for one minute, the line that IE was not on the list makes it unbelievable.
