What Windows 7 disks do you have? What exactly do the labels say on them?
If you burned the disks yourself, have they successfully booted for for install or repairs before?
If not confirm the ISO integrity and burn another DVD or CD using ImgBurn at 4x speed with verify.
Then restart the computer and tap the one-time BIOS boot menu key repeatedly and firmly every second:
Asus - F8
HP/Compaq - Esc
Sony - F2
Acer - F12
Gateway - F10
eMachnes - F10
Toshiba - F12
Dell - F12
IBM/Lenovo - the blue Thinkvantage button
I have every disk it comes with nto made by me.
And i have alien ware
I asked what it says on the labels on each disk. Is there a Win7 Installation DVD?
Put the Win7 Installation DVD in the drive, restart the computer and tap the F12 key every second. Does it prompt to "Press any key to boot DVD?"
If you can see the startup or bootup process like the memory or hard drive detection you can press the pause key to view the model of the motherboard from there we can check the manual to see if the motherboard is configured to boot from the CD/DVD. Also you need to make sure the CD/DVD you have is bootable ?
Hope the above helps.
When i try to boot from cds it goes to a black screen
As Gregrocker asked what does the CD that your trying to boot with say on it ? Is it in good condition and not scratched or anything ?
