I have Windows 7 since one week, and it's an upgrade from Windows Vista, and I have another problem by the way (my start menu programms disappeared) so you think it's an install corruption ? Are you sure of that ?
Can I do a repair installation if I mount the DVD of windows seven on a Virtual Drive ?
Thanks.
Does the memory spike when you have the web server shutdown and browse to the said directory? You could also try a sfc /scannow before doing a re-install.
/Scannow: Scans all protected system files immediately and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions. This command may require access to the Windows installation source files.
Ok I'll maybe create a new partition with my free space and install Windows 7 on it, after having replaced it by Ubuntu on my actual partition.
Then I'll merge the partitions. It's like making a format without loosing my files :)
Very interresting the /Scannow, I completely forgot that (since I never use it because it never worked on my XP).
What do you mean by the web server ? The internet ? Or it's because you've seen a "Apache HTTP Server" on the pic I posted ?
Thanks.
