Dllhost.exe uses an enormous quantity of RAM

Result : "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."

I'll probably make a new installation as I think the repair may not solve my problems.

Uncheck all "Internet Information Services" if it isn't already. It's in "Turn Windows features on or off" in the left panel of "Programs and Features" in the Control Panel. Reboot.

Hi "Internet Information Services" are all already unchecked.

You could try getting rid of .net framework but it may be needed for other programs.

In practice, if you get these types of crashes when browsing folders containing video or media files, the problem is most likely a flaky codec.

But you did say you uninstalled the third party codecs

Remove Windows Search? Doesn't hurt to try any of these things since you can easily reverse the changes.

dllhost.exe is used by any DLL-based app.

You might want to try a different antivirus or disable the one you're using and try openning the folder again.

Ok thank you all, I'll probably first reboot my computer with all services (excepted the microsoft ones) disabled in "msconfig". Then I'll try what you said. Thanks.

Ok here is a cap of my task manager with all services & programms disabled in msconfig. And the "diagnostic" startup set. And the antivirus is also disabled.

The "show all processes from all users" is checked as you can see.

So I still have the same problem even in the "diagnostic startup".
