    Open/Save dialog...no Back/Parent folder button
These buttons are replaced by the breadcrumb trail - I felt the same as you with this change but now after almost a year of using the new feature I find it limiting to go back to the old method in older programs. It's so much better to be able to jump up two or three levels with a single click.
I was writing about the breadcrumbs too.

You were just a few seconds faster.

I really like W7, and it's the best OS from Microsoft to date.

But of course even though I like it, there are some minor and one major gripe.

The major one I already mentioned: No icon for showing shared folders in the tree. Sadly no update for it yet.

I don't like the fact they artificially raised the bar for Aero to directx9 and 64mb.
There are many directx8.1 cards out there that could easily process Aero.
But I can live without transparency, no big deal.

Though the layout of the UI is much more consistent than it was in Vista,
    there are still inconsistencies there.
Some settings that belong together are still on different dialogs.

And the Icon overhaul is far from complete.

I liked Vista's semi transparent (green glass) folder icons, although I would rather have them blue.

W7 is back to the dull yellow folders again.
I tried some Iconpacks including Mr Grim's, but none of them are really complete, and I really want everything to be consistent.
Mr Grim's was the nicest, but my explorer didn't like it, and some Icons would go back to default after reboot, and back to custom after a next reboot.

When I have some spare time I will make my own system wide Iconpack.

But all this is nitpicking really.
It's hard to find anything wrong with this OS.
But seeing all the problems in here everyday, I must be lucky not to have run into any problem on any of my machines.

Sure hope the shared icons are going to be fixed soon.
