pretty but slow! i dont like it at all
There is a pretty big update coming this Tuesday. However, what it includes I am not sure.
its too freakin new, nothing works on it!
I have a thread going right now about this issue.. If there is anything I do not like about Windows 7 it is that it does not give even the Administrator Total Control. I have a file I cannot copy to a usb drive and I cannot seem to find a way to change it's permissions no matter what I do. It says I do not have permission to access the file or change its permissions. I have tried with UAC on and off. DEP is Off. I Am The Administrator.
The Kicker is this.. the file in question is a file needed to flash my Bois from a usb drive.. this file MUST be copied to the usb drive to work!
I can copy its folder whole from one place to another, but I cannot copy the file itself out of the folder which is what is needed.
I Demand Total Control.
Take Ownership of the file.
You do not want to just take ownership of files at will.
Only when you need to.
You should not be full admin on any PC.
An oversight in XP that is trying to be fixed with Windows.
So this doesn't work?
Right click on file > Properties > Security >
In 'Group or user names' mini window left click on 'Administrators (YourPCname\Administrators)' to highlight it.
In 'Permissions for Administrators' mini window, click on 'Full control' tickbox.
Apply and OK.
Now try your copying the file to USB.
thank God they released it more early because otherwise I would have had crappy Windows Vista with my laptop.

What I dislike about Windows 7:
- the main taskbar shouldn't have been changed, it was better in Windows XP and Windows Vista
- not enough screensavers, though I know you can add them manually (XP has way more default screensavers)
- some incompatible programs
