To my understanding the actual rotation of the screen is a function of the graphics driver and because of this the key combinations may change with a new OS as Drivers change.
Oh nevermind guys, it doesn't matter that much anyway, it's a novelty.
If you shut it down, than it takes ages for it to load up again. Like tries to hypnotize you for 20 minutes. And trying to change the file extension to all file extension like you can do in xp seems a lot more difficult in Win 7 because you can't find it. Even when you go to windows/file explorer there no option to change it. I used to do it with no problems in xp.
I'm not sure that I understand your complaint.
You can change the file extension association by going to Default Programs:Start Menu > Default ProgramsUnfortunately I don't think that you can't easily add your own commands to the Context Menu (like in XP).
or
Control Panel > Default Programs
Windows 7 takes the same amount of time to reboot as it does to load from "Power Off" (on my PC - 55 seconds). When I was experiencing weird delays (on the Beta releases) I discovered that my Anti-Virus program was responsible.
You could try disconnecting your network, USB drives, etc and then disabling your AV program and rebooting. You could also use Task Manager (or programs like Process Explorer) to monitor which processes are using up your CPU power (obviously not during reboots).:)
i hate paying for it every couple years. 2 7ultimates at over 300 clams a pop sucks. The family pack of Home premos was much more reasonable. The Vistas Ultis were expensive too. A family pack of Win8 Ultis would be handy, just sayin.
Devilsown XP's were really nice. Maybe that's why everyone loved XP.
Windows 7 is just a toy for me. Linux is where it is at. (and yes it will play games too) I don't like it. I like to be able to reconfigure my kernel so that I don't have things in it like support for a 14k modem and text to speech.
The speech to text really reallly rreeeeaaaalllllyyyyy stinks! lol! Linux has better stuff, but then they have like 12,000 programmers working on it so it is bound to be better.
And if you don't like the latest Linux release wait a month or two and something new will be released in another distrobution.
