UGH! Don't get me started! We have many print servers that don't have updated drivers. With Windows 7 deployment rolling out everywhere this is becoming a large problem. Some of the HP printers are being replaced because of the non-response by HP. We are purchasing Dell printers because when we asked for drivers for our older Dell printers Dell was extremely fast to respond and had the drivers within 4 to 6 days. Now that is service. HP keeps saying they are working on them.
OT (sort of): We have spoken with 2 major HP reps, heck I have family that works at HP and I have told them that HP service and support has really gone down of the last 5 years. Everyone keeps saying they will let the proper people know but nothing seems to change or happen. We have lost 5 different companies that service HP printers because they are telling me that HP will not pay them enough to service an in warranty printer; they actually lose money if they service it. If the printer is out of warranty then it is outrageous to fix it. We had a quote of $550 to fix an old HP 4000 because they said they would have to come out about 85 miles (137km) from their shop and spend 2 hours taking the printer apart, fix it and then re-assemble it. Needless to say we replaced the printer with a Dell.
Only bad thing i can say is it really is not all that different to prev versions of windows .i want new stuff ,,.
Read on McDuff .... Plenty of new "Stuff" in this package, as well as fixes for things that weren't quite right with the older OS. Explore! Push the bounderies! enjoy; But above all, remember.. It's only an Operating System to run programs, to do the things you realy want to do.
I know there is another thread for this, but you might want to mention exactly what new "Stuff" you would like to see. :)
err.. I couldn't resist the ryming misquote.

No bugs for me since I have Premium edition while it was still at Best Buy, I got three for me and my office! They're very fast!
Went from XP Pro to 7 Pro (both 32-bit) and bypassed Vista. So far, I have nothing but praise for 7. Even my old Lexmark all in one printer, manufactured in Sept 2003 according to the info plate, works flawlessly. Guess when it comes to updated drivers it really depends on the manufacturer. My condolences to the folks having driver problems.
Any FOLDER window should (and used to) remember it's size and position when last closed. Windows 7 does not provide this simple and essential feature, big step backwards. Better explained with one solution here:
