I'm not sure (don't remember) if this will tell you if you're 64-bit ready but it will tell you what issues Windows 7 will have doing an upgrade - Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor - Download - Microsoft Windows

If you do use the tool do let us know if it says anything about 64-bit.

    Thanks.
At the moment, I have no computer. Well mine personally, I am borrowing one temporarily. So I am not able to use that site, since I don't have the computer I'm wanting Win 7 on. Thanks anyways for the link.

That tool isn't as useful as it once was. It's great for finding out if older systems will have issues, but anything considered somewhat recent, in the past 2 years or so, shouldn't have any issues running Windows 7. I'm even being very conservative.

Yeah but someone moving from say XP might find it useful. As you point out anything older than 2 years will show up.

Anyway I just ran the tool on my Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit OS and this is what came back....

Other than NET Framework 1.1 I know everything else works, including the Nikon Scan software as I wrote a how to on getting it to work.

I've actually heard of people having weird results when running the tool under Windows 7. He's got a relatively new computer running Windows Vista, so there's a very remote chance something won't work. If he goes through HP or the part manufacturer's websites, he'll get up to day drivers and apps. On most OEM systems (recent), that tool will identify apps and drivers that aren't compatible from the OEM, which can scare a user off from upgrading, despite the fact updated versions are available.

I agree, in fact the website to download the tool says the same. I just provided it thinking it would help with the 64-bit answers, but I don't think that's the case.

I did a little looking around for the drivers, and came across this
    64bitdrivers.com

I'm unsure though on which/what to load onto the flash drive.

You should be starting with HP's website. Go to their website, click on Support & Drivers, and then enter te model number you posted before. There's no reason at all to be looking on third-party websites. Stick to the sources.

I did try that, I tried doing the model number and nothing seem to come up. So then I tried the product number and it just showed Vista-64/XP/2000, no Win 7 was shown.

You really should take DeaconFrost's advice as getting the wrong drivers could cause problems. In this case I think spending a little time make sure you have the correct model number/part number showing exactly what's installed will save you headaches in the long run.

Take you time and get it right, even if you have to call tech support for the info.

    Good luck.

As I said before, I did try DeaconFrost had mention. It just lead me to get this view

Then as you see, there was no Win 7 driver on the pull down. That is why I was starting to look around online for possible drivers to get.
