Alright, thats all I need to know. So, are you in or out?
LOL. I'm still biting my nails over it, wondering if I should try the Dell Datasafe restore first, and all my files and folders will be saved.
Dude, all your files and folders will be safe when we do the clean re-install from a retail copy of Windows 7. Trust me, everything will be fine. I will help you EVERY step of the way, from backing up, to installing drivers ect. The Dell Datasafe is still 'infected' with bloatware and the like.

Actually, it's dudette. Lol. Okay, I'm in. I have some work I have to get out first - just in case I can't get to it. I also have to go through my programs and make sure I have the keys and stuff. How long will it take - I'd imagine a day.
Oh you're a girl? Sorry lol. The majority of people I help here are boys. Let me help you with that. Again, EVERYTHING can be backed up. Tell me everything you have installed. If you use CCleaner Redirecting..., it can make a txt file of all the programs installed for you. Run CCleaner, Tools, Uninstall, Save to Text File... Upload that text file here please. Thanks.
Ha! Quite all right. I've helped a lot of boys with their computer problems as well. Lol. This one just got me stumped and I couldn't find any resolution online. I found suggestions, but none of them worked.
Looks like there's a ton of programs installed. Quite a few of them, I don't care about. Would this be easier to do via e-mail?
Alright then. All those programs... None of their data needs to be backed up... Am I right? Some programs don't look familiar to me, so tell me which have data that you think need backing up. Which programs have you paid for? For Firefox... Use Firefox Sync. When you re-install... Don't install the programs you don't want :). Why do you have GameBooster? You don't have any games installed...
I've paid for all the ones that aren't free. WordPerfect, Office 2010, Genie Backup Manager, the Informatik programs, LexisNexis programs, Mastercook, McAfee came with the PC (but I can get that free from ATT), Quickbooks, the Stenograph programs. There's also Time&Chaos; I don't see it listed. I have a second hard drive in my PC and I back up the Stenograph and Quickbooks to that.
Gamebooster probably came installed.
Alright then. Do you have the serial keys for all your software ready at hand? Also, after we re-install Windows 7, ditch McAfee, and go with Microsoft Security Essentials. Its free, and lighter on system resources. :).
I'm compiling them. I'm still getting some work out, and tomorrow there's a wedding at our house. So it's going to be a busy day.
You're recommending a Microsoft program. That's refreshing.
A lot of my keys are saved in an e-mail folder. So I'll have to back that up, definitely!
