    Explorer Pinned Items vanishing

1° I don't use ccleaner very often (almost never), and I don't delete the Pinnded items on the explorer using it...

Now that we got that covered it started a while ago, after my last update to be precise, my pinned folders just vanish from the explorer pinned items list, not after rebooting, not after ccleaner, one minute they're there in the next they're not... I have no idea why it's happening, might be Microsofts fault, or might be something I did, I searched the forum and I didn't find anything helpful, including the other posts about the same subject

I have no idea on how to fix this, I can only look at the sky and shout: why

but my query in this forum is, if there is anyone with the same problem or someone who knows how to fix the problem, please help...

    thanks guys

    EDIT:
    Obvious things I forgot

I'm running windows 7 x64 ultimate and this is my work computer as well as my gaming machine, my specs are on the "my system specs" dropdown thingy... which is quite cool btw

    CONTENT:

Try this. Doing this will remove all the pinned items on all your programs (you'll have to re pin), but the functionality of the windows explorer jumplist should be back to normal.

Jump Lists - Reset and Clear All Items

    1. Delete all files in %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations
    2. Delete all files in %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\CustomDestinations
    3. Reboot
Trying this method! Since it might take days to bug, I'll report if does bug again in a couple of days, and if it works I'll also report back, it's not vital for me but it speed things up a bit without 3rd party programs

    BE AWARE THAT:
when I cleaned those folders all of my pinned items went to hell, since I only had 2 on other software(it's plural... software don't have one for some reason) it was not a big deal, but one should be advised that all of the pinned items on all of the software(it's plural... software don't have one for some reason) will be deleted (not the items them selves, but the pinned shortcut!)

    anyway thanks

Guess what just happened to me? So I thought it was fixed but it reset once again, I'm pissed now because as I thought it was working I pinned a ton of stuff and even changed my folder structure to make it easier to find stuff, why is this happening to me and why can't I fix it?

It was there I went on the web looked up a few things on google and 3 min later it wasn't there anymore, what did I do to deserve this?

I have the same issue. Pinned folders in explorer worked fine for a couple weeks, then started erasing themselves. I have tried deleting all the files and just the explorer file in %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations :::: and %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\CustomDestinations several times. It resets the pinned folders but only lasts a day or two.

Once the pins erase, I can re-pin folders, but it doesn't work the same. Normal pinning allows the pinned folders to be moved up and down, but after Windows resets my pins the functionality changes and if I move a folder's pinned order it moves straight to the top of the pinned list. If I delete the APPDATA files the functionality goes back to normal until the next random reset.

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate x64. This problem is only with the explorer pins, non of my other programs.
