    my registry shows---\ ---\ --- \----\ --- \ WINDOWS\START MENU\ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS
    NOT PROGRAMS\TOOLS

    No button on start menu

    Ok Sue. I created a REG file that is attached at the bottom that will restore the default Administrative Tools and Common Administratrive Tools DWORD registry entries for your specific user account name. If you like download and merge the REG file, then restart the computer to see if that may fix this for you. :)

    (WARNING - no one else use this REG file since it's specific for Sue only. It will not work for you.)

    downloaded the reg fix...clicked it ...re booted...still not there

    Did you already do a system restore using a restore point dated before this started?

    Problem is I don't know when it started
    I only discovered problem when I started to get a notice last week
    upon bootup ther GFxUI is not working and I don't know how to fix that
