Even better if you buy a key online from USA its probably cheaper anyway, EU price is always more.
Not during the special promotion it wasn't. £49 for full version against $49 for an upgrade.

Easy enough to find but I just looked at how far over my ISP cap I am this month so I don't think I'll get it until Saturday.
Hopefully I'll be able to activate it with my retail key when it comes.
By the way (and completely off topic) I noticed you're using Linux Mint Knuckles. How you liking it I hear good things, John:)

Its been a while when the RTM Gold Build 7600.16385.090713-1255 has leaked and will be soon out on MSDN and Technet by August 6th.The original checksums of 7600.16385 Build are officially out and made available by Microsoft.Daniel posted this one Technet recently.I had read about the checksums in Seven forums thread and i wasn’t sure if that was one,Now the hashes are officially out.

    One thing I don't understand:
    Why is there a EN-US ISO of Windows 7 Ultimate E ?
It's only for countries of the European Union.

And it seems that integrating language packs into the ISO won't work. During the installation, you'll get an error about "regional offline information" which can't be copied or something.

I live in the U.S. and wanted to install E version, but after doing a little digging in W7 files I found a list of responses for activation and one being:

"The activation server determined the specified product key has been blocked for this geographic location"

I'm not sure if this is for the starter editions or will be applied to E versions, but I would think twice before purchasing a U.S. key and applying to E version.

Why would anyone want to install the E version if they don't have to? Just use another browser if that's what you want to do!

i agree - i'm happy with what i've got. :) my sentiments are why install all over again for a crippled OS? (not that i use ie8 anyway - but it's nice to have if you need it :))
