    Help me!

I recently changed my home screen log-in password but I hardly ever used it because I always just used the finger scanner. For some reason it wont let me use my finger scanner anymore. Whenever I try it says I could not be logged on and a password is required. I am the only one with fingers scanned and I have three fingers entered. I tried all of them with still no luck. The problem is that I forgot my password and so I am unable to use my administrator log-in. Is there anything I can do?? (and I tried resetting the password, but I did not do the USB thing they said so I am unable to change it)

I ran into a similar issue with my HP dv8t a while back. I had to update the finger print scanner driver. However, I knew my password and was able to log in to my user account that way. After I updated the finger print driver, I was swiping to log in in no time. So, after saying all that, I'm probably not much help.

I'm betting you're going to need to be logged in but,

Go to HP's web site > Support & Drivers and fill in the info it asks for. If there are any drivers available, this is where you will find them.

Mine was under the sub-directory "Driver - Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices."
Then, "Validity sensor Finger Print Driver"

Yours may be called something different but that's where I got mine.

    Hope this helps!
