Downloads link under Favorites error

    Ok, I get how to use it now, I think, but I don't think I can do anything with it since the folder I'm looking for (Downloads...right?) isn't listed..anywhere.

    I think I just found my first gray hair.

    You could check in the new Downloads folder, or in any other folder you think they may have been saved at, to see if they may happen to pop-up.

    LOL, I hear you on the gray hair. Unfortunately I have a lot more than one.

    your 2010 post helped me in 2016. My downloads shortcut stopped working with the common message of "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel". This was a return gift from Win 10 when i switched back to Win 7.

    After hours of search and trying everything else ,i came across your post. finally issue resolved.

    Favorites - Restore Default Favorite Links in Navigation Pane
