    Screensaver isn't working

Ok. I've just installed a screensaver for my laptop. But then when I select preview to see the screensaver, the screen is only black and nothing will come up. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing but that does nothing.

That's it? No other info besides the name of the exe some obscure hosting site? I wouldn't expect to get much help with that little amount of information.

    EDIT:

After about 30 seconds of google, I found out this is apparently a screensaver based on K-On! A Japanese four-panel comic strip manga. However, all I was able to find were various links to torrents like the OP already linked to.

Might I make a suggestion? Why not use the Windows Live Photo Gallery screensaver? Download a bunch of K-On! images, save them to a folder in your pictures library and point the Windows Live Gallery screensaver to that folder.

Doing it this could quite possibly save you from downloading something bad from some weird, off the wall hosting site. of course, downloading a bunch of image files from all over could do freaky stuff too!

There are a number of settings that will disallow the displaying of a screensaver (in addition to the problems with the specific screensaver itself).

First, I would follow bug67's suggestion and download a generic screensaver that's already on your system --- just for the purpose of determining that your system's screensaver app is turned on, and that it CAN display a screensaver. If it's not turned on, see this tutorial: Screen Saver - Turn On or Off

Then, I would make sure that your display time setting is not too long, because if it is, sometimes the screensaver won't display at all.
