HPAuto.exe ?
Hello. On our Windows 7, on the reliability history, there is a report that says a file called HPAuto.exe stopped working. What is it, how bad is the situation, and what can I do to fix it? Thanks!

HP Usage Improvement Tracking thats what I googled, don't no if it's a threat or not but I would run a malware scan with Malwarbytes just to make sure. Malwarebytes : Free anti-malware, anti-virus and spyware removal download
It's a file that HP use to track your computer use, ostensibly to improve their future products.
hpauto.exe - What is the hpauto.exe ?
Considering that no one that doesn't have a HP computer doesn't even have that program, you aren't missing anything at all if it isn't working (or even better, uninstalled). That is unless you like the idea of it reporting back to HP on what and how you use your computer.Does that mean there's nothing terribly wrong if its not working, then?
If it's not working or it's disabled it just means that HP have no idea what you do with your computer......which is as it should be.
Anyway, as HP are now ditching the computer market in favour of the software one, it all becomes rather academic.
I've only ever bought one HP computer, and if my experience is any thing go by, it'll be the last.
In the six months I've had it, both the hard disk drive and the graphics card have been replaced (under warranty) and the computer case has been broken while in transit. HP have blamed the shipper, the shipper has blamed their courier and the courier says it's not his fault.
I knew I should have bought an iMac!!
