Major help needed with windows 7 boot problem

Hi. Ok basically I have Windows 7 Ultimate X64 (Build 7600). I know I shouldn't have, but I installed the new OEM, slip 'activator' release 4 thats been uploaded. Uh oh. I can no longer boot into Windows - I get :

    File: \Windows\system32\winload.exe

    Status: 0xc0000428

Info: Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file

I tried running startup repair, system restore from the installation disk, but with NO results. I really need some help please. I will definately be buying a product key next time

    Thanks,

    Alex

tsk tsk, you naughty boy! let this be a lesson to all naughty boys and girls out there!

i think you may need to format and do a clean install to ensure all traces of the crack are gone. i hope you didn't mess with your bios too?

Nope - I didn't touch the bios - but can anyone think of a solution that doesnt involve a clean install/format ???

you're probably best off asking wherever you found the dodgy crack from mate.

sorry, but we don't like discussing cracks/piracy here.

Reinstalling without the crack would be the first thing to try. You probably won't get any other advice.

I was thinking that he could hit F5 before bootup and let repair find problems with startup...might fix the issue there
