Keystroke overload for mass-copy overwrite (among others)
I'm always astounded at how much more keyboard-hostile each new version of Windows seems to be -- starting with hidden accelerators back in, what was it, ought-2?
Is there a hack or workaround to bring back 'Yes To All' when copying files whose names may collide with their targets? The only mouseless way to do this now is a hideously awkward sequence of 5 keystrokes where XP required just one. Argh.
I could go on (like: sort by date, shutdown, etc.) but my nipples might burst into flames.
Obviously MS's official reason for some of these extra obstacles is to detoxify the risk of accidents by novices. But what's the greater tragedy here -- Aunt Florence inadvertently deleting her gumbo recipe, or overheated office workers growing stress-horns from the extra gyrating needed to accomplish once-simple steps? Will we ever see a separate edition of the OS that omits all the diapers? /rant /fatigue
