Files and total size below current directory?

If I right click on the current directory location, properties--I see the # of files in the folder and their total size.

If I want to know total size of all files in all sub-directories below and including the current directory...how?

For me right clicking on the folder in Explorer and clicking Properties has always been recursive. It should show total number of files including all subfolders and the total size, excluding hidden and system files.

Edit: In other words, go up one level to right click the folder you were in, from the outside, then click Properties.
