Monitor is black after sleep mode, but not hibernation

    Suggestion; with the recent upgrade, it's possible that the refresh rate was changed. Check to make sure it hasn't changed, if it has switch it back to 60 htz. If it hasn't try switching it to 75 htz.

    I had a similar problem. It would be worth checking that your monitor isnt confused about whether it is receiving an analog or digital signal from the display card:
