I have a computer I built and used since 2010 running well. It has two matched 4GB sticks of DDR3 for a total of 8GB. I have two remaining slots (empty) for ram on the motherboard to add more ram. Do I need to find the exact same memory as the ram I am currently using or does it matter?
The title about sums it up, but to avoid answers that don't answer the question, let me offer a few specifics.
I have 4gb installed but only 2.75 is usable.
I have a total of 1gb of video ram on my two video cards.
I am running 64bit Windows.
My board recognizes up to 8gb of ram...
Hello, I have 4GB installed on my laptop and as you can see from the window capture it reads 3.74 GB usable.
Shouldn't it recognize all 4GB? Or is the other .26 GB being used by the graphics card?
Thanks
I have a simple question...Should I add 4 GB RAM for my PC,I already have 4 GB,so if someone might tell me if my PC will work faster and what will work faster if i put it??tnx in advance
