just got a new laptop with w 7, don't want to bog it down, tips please

    i get a lot of my software from download.com and the mfg's websites of the products i use. stay away from third party websites if possible. also do not store you media collection on your laptop, use an external device or google music.

    There is absolutely nothing wrong with storing your media collections on your laptop, assuming one has the space therefor.
