Dual monitors randomly flip-flop upon log-on or boot-up
I'm using Win7 Pro w/ Service Pack 1, and ATI Raqdion HD 4600 series Graphics card. Up until last week I had dual Sony E540 CRTs with extended display across both (left #1; right #2).
I finally upgraded to ASUS VW246 LCDs, automatically installed as Generic PnP; I could not find ASUS drivers. Since then, my display screens randomly flip-flop when I log on or boot up (i,e., the left becomes #2; the right #1). The mouse then cannot travel directly across from one to the other, but left off the left screen and appears to the right on the right screen. This does not happen every time, but often enough to be a real irritant.
When this happens, I swap the cables in order to re-establish the proper relationship. Otherwise everything works normally.
I've run through all the Control Panel settings, and am stumped. Needless to say, swapping the cables every day is getting to be a real pain. Appreciate any help.
