F: drive stuck on "Read Only"
Hello everyone,
Something rather bizarre happened. For months, my Win7 has been running smoothly and without a glitch. Quite the opposite in fact and it was rather nice. Now, all of a sudden, my entire F:\-Drive (the one where I have all my non-installable data on, such as pictures and videos and all that) is stuck on "Read Only". No problem, I thought, so I rightclicked on a folder, unchecked "Read Only" and hit OK. It seemed to apply everything just fine. No warnings, no errors, it went without a hitch. Still, I couldn't write data anymore. So I rightclicked the folder again, there it was: The "Read Only" had checked itself again. This keeps happening.
So I've tried the Take Ownership tool in the first post, and that seemed to work just fine as well. I then set full access permission to everyone because I'm pretty much the only one on this network and this computer. Still, I cannot write data. The "Read Only" box keeps checking itself.
I turn to you for help. What can I do to have this fixed? Thanks in advance.
