    rather mundane issue: removing the recycle bin icon from the desktop


    how would I remove the recycle bin icon from the desktop? I've tried right clicking--no option for its removal is apparent...

    Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

    Right-click your desktop and choose Personalize then click Change Desktop Icons, and then uncheck the Recycle Bin before clicking Apply followed by OK.

I was able to get the recycle bin to reside in the taskbar and now I want to delete its desktop icon. However, when I try to do it (right click), I don't get any options to do so???
