    I'm proud

Although this was not exactly the place to air my beef, I'm really proud to see so many of you interested in pondering the issues. And yes, mjf, most of these salespeople really don't know anything beyond the sale. I made my peace with the salesman and even offered to help him find a keyboard he was looking for. He doesn't know I did, but I did. He was not able to do anything but tell me we could contact tech support. And to his credit, he probably has a script of sorts he has to go by. Secondly, as was posted above, the number of people who actually like to build these systems up from the innards is relatively small. I've always needed to just to get them to do what I needed. There is no room for bloatware or even useless services enabled when you are trying to record 100 tracks at 96K with 30 plugins! My only hope is a commercial future that includes options for those who need them. The true value of a business is not in how many people they serve, but how many people they serve well.
    Thanks again,
    Francesco Carlo Canonica :)

You're welcome Francesco. You are a good listener and followed through with ideas presented here.:)
As for bloatware, there is Decrapifier to help get rid of any remaining. It's free for personal use. Download | The PC Decrapifier

How true. If only all businesses thought this way.
