    You are running HDFT from CD, correct?

    If you get the same result from SeaTools or one of the HD tests on Hirens Boot Disk then I would replace the HD.

    IMHO, things will only get worse if you continue to try and use that drive. It's been my experience that once you get that many bad sectors more will surely follow. Even if you get windows fully functional that drive will be a ticking time bomb and windows will crash again when more bad sectors show up. As has been said many times in this thread, now is the time to buy a new hard drive and throw away the defective one.

    Well,as my hard disk is still under warranty and is going to be replaced soon...but before that happens m doing some experimental work on it..so we have to wait and see what happens next..
