Um...depends on what you think about the cars their selling these days

I just installed the new update and it really sped up my computer...it boots up before I hit the power switch and runs every program before I click on it.

When I wake up in the morning my coffee is already brewing and the morning paper is opened to the sports page, my car gets 10 more miles per gallon and my wife has stopped complaining.

    Really a great update

Can you also arrange an increase for me?

What r u using to make images in Win 7?
I use Drive Snapshot. Runs from a single exe (246kb). It's portable and can be coppied to a floppy or USB drive to run in DOS. I multiboot, so I just boot to another OS and restore.

wots wrong with Backup and Restore? it comes as part of the OS and is free, just open it up and select Create a system image.

Hello to all, I am new! This site is great!

Back on topic: I heard that with Vista, Microsoft did slipstream some updates to the Untouched ISO when it was released to technet/etc...so I would imagine it would be the same with Win7. :)

    Got a shock!!!

I found this picture on the web [seems picture is provided by MSDN users that have build 16399 ISO]

What!! when you installed OS from the ISO there would be some installed updates as the control panel report!! its ok?! or just a stupid hacker integrated patches into 16385 to make another ISO?!
All that screenshot shows is a screen after someone installed those updates 1 by 1... nothing about MSDN...

Nothing wrong with B & R. I just prefer Drive Snapshot.

Some third party BU utils are more flexible and faster. They have to be, otherwise there would be no point to them . One of the shortcomings for advanced users of the Windows BU is that you cannot restore an image of disk A to disk B, only back to disk A.

I use Paragon Drive Backup which like most others allows image of disk A to be restored anywhere it fits, plus has some partition management, differential BUs, and is very fast.

But probably for many users the Win 7 BU is fine.
