    Possible to check if W7 ULT is genuine?


    I have an older copy of windows 7 ultimate that I purchased from amazon and never used it.
    I would like to sell it on but is there any way for me to check that it's a genuine copy as I don't want this to reflect on my ebay feedback and be accused of trying to rip someone off and probably receive a ban?

    Microsoft at the present does not have a method to check for validity outside of installing it and then registering it.

    If you have never used it before you should have the key code sticker with the c/d packaging. If that sticker is the legal one from Microsoft I would sell it.
