We could use your system specs. My crystal ball is in for repairs.

I'll echo the sentiments, that without giving us some system specs, there's absolutely no way we could ever take a guess at answering your question. The upgrade advisor is nice, but very limited in terms of what it tells you. The report can also be misleading. I'm ready and willing to help, and I've installed Windows 7 on my share of older computers, but I'm surprised to see you don't have the system specs listed or filled in.

My crystal ball is downloading updates and I'm waiting to restart it. Yeah, we do need your system specs.

    Update your SevenForums System Specs
User CP (3rd item in the top menu bar) |
Your Profile | Edit System Spec (left-hand column)

To gather info, use SIW or Speccy or System Info

Add the word laptop or desktop or netbook to the
    “system manufacturer” block, for example,
    Toshiba Satellite L305D notebook.

Provide full windows version info, for example:
    MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader,
Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor, etc

Scroll down and click on the SAVE CHANGES button.

    We mean......

What cpu do you have ?
How much memory do you have installed ?
Do you have a video card installed ?
What is the capacity of your hard drive ?

    Etc. Etc. Etc.

Look, run the upgrade advisor...if it says no...then system specs in the instance are irrelevant.

If it says ok - Then post your specs back and people can give you help/ advice on where we have encountered problems with W7 installs on older machines.

I'd be surprised if you can't run W7 on it...think most of us have got it to 'run' on some pretty low end hardware when we were testing the beta releases.
