Settings Windows 7 for a new user

    Hello all.

I was wondering if it was possible to set Windows 7 for a new user of the computer so that is asks them for a Language, Country, Computer Name, User name e.t.c when they turn on the computer for the first time.

    All help appreciated. Regards GFB.

From what I've read on this forum, it's possible by using the sysprep tool. Some people use it to migrate an existing Windows 7 installation to a completely new computer (or the same one after major changes like a new mobo etc.) which requires Windows to install new drivers for the new hardware on the next boot. As a side effect it also behaves like it's being run for the first time and does exactly what you're asking for above.

I don't know the specifics, but I'm sure someone knowledgeable will chime in soon and give you more details.

OK, thanks for the info Corazon. Dispatching my computer and no longer have time to prepare, will just have to install the OS and leave it as that.

If anyone does know please do share your knowledge, may come handy int he future.
