    tyu,

You have much trash installed on your computer.

You are going to continue to have problems if some of them are not removed.

You are hell-bent on self destruction with some of those programs.

I also do not see any anti-virus/anti-malware software installed.

Immediately, download, install and use Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE).

Use no other AV sofware. That is the only AV software that I use, the only AV that I install, the only AV I recommend.

Link to MSE in my sig.

    Welcome tyu678!

Does your laptop say "Stopping services" or "Shutting down" when it's taking that long to actually power off?

(I have an idea, but want to hear your answer first)
Yes, It says 'shutting down' and shows little circle spinning around

from their it takes like 3 minutes to be turned off
AHA. OK, here's my idea. I might be completely off-track with this, or it could be the very reason for your long shutdown time.

There's a registry setting that allows you to clear the page file during shutdown, which incidentally takes a few minutes (and is normally pretty useless). It will keep doing this until you turn the setting off.

Run regedit.exe and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management, then look for a REG_DWORD entry called ClearPageFileAtShutdown.
Is this value set to 1? If yes, you have found the problem. Change it to 0 and exit the registry editor.

    Corozan,

Extremely unlikely cause of his problem(s).

Take a look at his installed programs.

Ways of decreasing that shutdown time that we might need to resort to are:
    Desktop and Shutdown Tweaks Combined
How to Speed Up Windows 7 Desktop and Shutdown

    The event log entries,
Event Viewer - View Log Details of Last Shutdown and Restart of Computer
How to See the Last Shutdown and Restart Time of Your Windows PC

the use of a special tool for this purpose. I believe we have a tutorial on this:
Gathering a Startup, Shutdown, Sleep, Hibernate, or Reboot Trace

Clean up factory bloatware, most importantly turn off the programs which may be starting up and leeching CPU/RAM, slowing Startup and Shutdown and can spy on you.

Next work through these troubleshooting steps.

As a last resort, use the tool which the Pro's use to troubleshoot these issues: Trace Windows 7 boot-shutdown-hibernate-standby-resume issues - MSFN Forums
What's the progress on the above steps?

Agreed (it was a long shot anyway). I didn't really see that huge list of installed software until after my previous post. *picks up own jaw from the floor*

    tyu,
    | type MSCONFIG | ENTER | STARTUP tab |

    uncheck ALL | OK | RESTART |

Have no fear. You have disabled nothing. You have told MS not to run those programs at startup time.

If this doesn't cure the problem, them there are further steps you can take.
It didn't solve the problem. what are the further steps?

I do have kasperski anti-virus program installed that came with the laptop
Could this program somehow caused this problem?
cause I remember that this issue began soon after I activated the program.

Attach a fresh copy of install.txt to your next post.

Configuring Kaspersky to be efficient can be problematic.

until problem located, then 100% remove kaspersky. Install MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials). Link in my tab.

    GregRocker has recommended the following:

Clean up factory bloatware, most importantly turn off the programs which may be starting up and leeching CPU/RAM, slowing Startup and Shutdown and can spy on you.

Next work through these troubleshooting steps.

As a last resort, use the tool which the Pro's use to troubleshoot these issues: Trace Windows 7 boot-shutdown-hibernate-standby-resume issues - MSFN Forums
    Please carry out those steps.
