Windows 10 64bit/Windows 10 64bit/Windows 10 64bit

I've had no problems with my Vista purchase either and I'm happy with it but I'm still buying Windows 7 and will dual boot so I have both to use.

My machine is covered via warranty until 2011 so at least if something goes wrong I'll still have the original OS installed even if I may not use it that often

I just bought a gaming rig in June (I was unaware of windows 7 and the cutoff date for free upgrade). And I am not finding any reason to spend $120 on the upgrade. What makes windows 7 better than vista? Because I find very few things that would make it worth the upgrade.
surely some changes but not of worth to spend $120 if you have spent very recently but if you want to try then download RTM from somewhere and see by yourself

Windows 7 7264

Many people in here have already given some good reasons. I will give you the best one honestly..

Pick up your keyboard and smack yourself in the head.. How does that feel? Hurt's huh? Do it again, and one more time for good measure.

Now every day you think you don't need or want Windows 7 make sure you do this 3 times a day. Until you get tired of the pain Vista is causing you especially x64..

Now Download a trial or RC for windows 7 and see how much better your current system runs faster, uses less resources, offers more advanced features for the future, and end user friendly graphical UI features..

Also if your a honest VISTA owner you get an upgrade for pretty cheap! So why not?

Are you refusing to change for change sake? Honestly I bought a MAC beacuse vista sucked that hard. I was done with XP and all the problems I had.

I still love my iMac but windows 7 is now my favorite OS for the time being..

also if you get the RC or any other version besides the RTM just know they have drastically improved the speed and OS from 7100. Even so that 7100 is better than vista SP2 or not..

While I'm not historically a huge fan of Vista, I started a new job with a company in December of 2008 and my work laptop (Dell E6400) has Vista Enterprise installed on it and it's been very solid for the past 8 months. So, I don't think that "all" people really have a terrible experience with Vista.
