Take a look at the root of the new Windows partition.

Partition Wizard bootable CD's Partition Recovery Wizard will scan to see if the D partition is still recoverable and if so restore it to unallocated space you provide which is large enough. If not then use their Data Recovery Wizard or Recuva.

Please post back a screenshot of your full Disk Mgmt drive map with listings, using Snipping Tool in Start menu. Show us which partition held the data and which one you installed Win7 upon.

When I go to start up repair I just get the black screen+cursor. ALSO, I retried using my Windows 7 Install disc. The same thing happened but this time the window asking me to repair my computer appear (Keyboard type, location, etc.) I pressed next and was also able to get to the page that asked if I wanted to Install or Fix my computer. However, both choices end up not taking me anywhere. For setup, I get Setup is Starting and the circle looping forever. For repairs, I just get the looping circle. The CD also stops spinning at this point.

If anyone has any idea what's going on with my computer, I would greatly appreciate the help. Thank you!
Please start another thread as you interrupted this one.
