want to get errors in SMART
Hi
I am testing something and I want to populate errors to the S.M.A.R.T. but not damaging my HDD. any one has any ideas on that. I am using win7 32 bit.

Sorry, but you can't do that as SMART (if available and enabled) reads the necessary parameters directly from the drive(s). There is no way to directly change any of the values in the way you are asking.
I take it that you are developing a program that takes certain action(s) depending on the value(s) returned by SMART, correct?
What you could do, however, is to set up a dummy array with the same format as SMART and use that to test.
