    Hello MourningStar,

You might see if this one below may work better for you. :)

This tutorial contains Built-in Administrator Account - Enable or Disable and I have somehow created a second admin account. I tried a system restore to a time-point before this happened with no luck. help!

    thnx.

    Hello MourningStar,

That would be the built-in Administrator account. You should be able to go through the tutorial below again to disable it to remove it. :)

well, it did remove the login option from the login screen but the folders are still there in the c:\users. now what? delete them?

You can with a lot of approving while doing so if you like, but everything that you had set for the built-in Administrator would be lost when it's deleted. The folder will be recreated the next time you enable the built-in Administrator and log in to though. :)

Done - however, other than the 'standard' uac go-ahead to delete, the operation did not require "a lot of approving" at all.

    thnx.

    That's good. I had about 4-5 approves.
