All Programs List in start menu disappearing

I posted a thread about this problem last week in this thread: Problem installing MyDefrag 4.1.1
Basically the problem is that after installing some programs, the "All Programs" list in the start menu disappears and is just blank. At the time I thought the problem was only with MyDefrag but today I installed the microsoft Intellitype 6.1 software for my keyboard and the same thing happened. Has anyone else had a similar problem.

Its not you its a known bug. when you get over (70 i think) apps in start menu they dis-appear. search for that here at SF. I believe the cure was to make a folder elsewhere, drag the start menu files there and then drag them back a few at a time. Check the search thread to be sure

    Hope this helps

You only need to remove enough shortcuts from C/ProgramData/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu/Programs/. It seems the number of shortcuts in "All Programs" from "Start" is limited to something just under 100. (You can see "ProgramData" only if you check "Show hidden files, folders and drives" in "Control Panel" - "Folder options" - "View").
