    Updating Direct X 10 to 10.01

Batlefield 3 requires direct x 10.01 to run,I have 10.00 so it gives me an error.
How can I update the direct x 10.00 to 10.01?
    Thanks.

What it means is that it needs a DX10.1 capable graphics card. Windows 7 comes preinstalled with DirectX 11, so there's really no need to look for DirectX.

You have an HD2400, a DirectX 10 card. Only HD3000 and up are DirectX10.1 capable.

Windows 7 has DX11 built in, which includes the older versions. (There are exceptions to that, which sometimes can be helped by installing the DirectX update.)

Your problem may be the BF3 requires DX10.1 or later ATI/AMD hardware, and the HD2400 is DX 10.0. (The requirement for nVidia cards is DX 10.0. I can't explain the discrepancy.)

(I see that another poster gave basically the same answer while I was composing the post.)

Probably because Nvidia didn't come out with w DirectX 10.1 card till they came out with the GT 240, and AMD started 10.1 cards with the HD 3xxx series. The Nvidia 8xxx series does support some of the features from DirectX 10.1, but not enough to be called DirectX 10.1 cards.

P.S. Hate to say it but for what it is worth even if the game would run on that HD 2400, the card is so slow that the game would be pretty much unplayable due to low FPS.
