Icons doesn't appear on taskbar programs

    Icons doesn't appear on taskbar programs


    The icons in the task bar programs doesnt appear. Any help?

    Hi Barletta and welcome to SF!

    First thing I would try is to rebuild the icon cache:

    Icon Cache - Rebuild

    @Stalker: I assume he means the first icon in the right picture (terminate session)

    yeah, but on the subwindow of the programs icon, you'll see the lack of original icons and the 'thumbnail' icon on all.. it wasnt like this before

I seem to be stumped here guys. I don't know if it's a virus or something else. Sometimes my computer seems to randomly crash everything. the explorer.exe process, any applications I have open, everything. I attempted to ctrl-alt-del to bring up the task manager and restart the explorer.exe process...
So i recently downloaded this thing : http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/taskbarremove.reg in order to hide my taskbar, but it didn't. I didn't notice that it removed the icons on the right , you know Skype and such. Any ideas ?
Dunno why this is happening but for some reason the programs Quicktime and Adobe Reader are taking on the icon of some other random program in my task bar. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling both but it didn't seem to work. Is there anything I can do to fix this? It's really strange.
