After uninstalling programs, there's still 32.4GB of used space

Hello Brink, could you please help me with this?

I recently got my new Dell laptop and it is loaded with bloatware. Even after uninstalling all the programs I have no need for, there's still 32.4GB of used space! Is it normal? I read it online that some people just went for a clean install to remedy this and I was thinking about that too, but is it too drastic?

This is probably slightly off topic, but I greatly appreciate your help.

Hello Shily, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Since you have a OEM computer with Windows 7 preinstalled, you would not be able to do a clean install as if you had a retail copy of Windows 7, unless you purchased a retail copy of Windows 7 to do a clean install with. That would of course not be very practical since you have a perfectly good Windows 7 preinstalled.

You might pick and choose through the options in the tutorial below to see if that may help you free up HDD space from anything that you find as unneeded.

Just be sure to do not delete any of your recovery partitions though, so you will still be able to use them to do a factory recovery/restore of Windows 7 with.

    Hope this helps,
