Best way to keep the Windows COA label from getting damaged?

    Unfortunately the Product Key audited from the HD of a factory OEM machine will not be the same as on the COA.

    WHile MS phone activation was able to parse the specific key for me in the past when supplied with this audited one, most experts here say you cannot count on this because it is a mass-activation SLP key not specific to the machine.

    Since I first learned this here from my teacher SIW2 and our activation uber-Guru Bill2, I've never used the Belarc-audited key (after Vista) on factory OEM so cannot say for sure if MS phone activation can any longer sort it. Can anyone else?
