But in general, although I've heard both, usually computer is feminine in Spanish, and there's more behind that I won't go into here .

But make that "Él no es pesado, es mi hermano" . Actually that can have a different connotation. Pesado is often used for annoying :). Maybe "grave" would be a better word, but not quite there yet ... hmmm. Translating Slangish is tough between languages because of the cultural differences ...
