Windows 7 is far more reliable than XP was and is much faster in pretty much every area. Not to mention all of the things in 7 that make it easier and faster to use than XP. As if that wasn't enough it has better support for many things XP did not.

Using XP after 7 is released would be like going back to 98SE from XP now.

So true, been using XP for as long as I can remember, still use it extensively as main sys, I'll wait for the pre-order to come around before I go entirely 7. I do have another sys running 7 (7100) in 64bit, and am happy with it, runs fine. I havent thoroughly tested the appz I use on XP, though some wont work due to other reasons. :)

Thats funny, though alot will stick with XP just to wait until smoke clears, in this case it wont have to...

    - DirectX10
    - I can use my PC as soon as it is in Windows
    - Right click on apps for frequent lists saves time
    - By default it looks much better
    - Mini preview screens that popup are better for navigating
    - Quicker to update games
You mean DirectX 11. Win7 comes packages with version 11. Which will also soon be available to Vista but not XP.

Eventhough I hate XP and wish it would die...I still think that Microsoft should drop DX10 to XP users and let Vista users have DX11...Hand-Me-Downs here in their OSs

How I really feel? I would love to take every computer running XP (not in dual boot) and every disc with XP on it and stack them in a pile. I would then pour the gas to it and watch it go boom when I toss a match. Honestly XP...JUST DIE
